Lavar Scott is behind the wheel of car #6 in the ARCA Menards Series for the 2025 Season. He finished the 2024 season with the Rookie of the Year award and 2nd in points.
Lavar started racing at Blackbird Speedway in a Quarter Midget at the age of five years old. While racing Quarter Midgets he picked up 50+ wins including Jr.Honda, Jr. Stocker, Light 160 and World Formula. After gaining some experience under his belt he moved up to 125cc Micro Sprint at Airport Speedway. He won two races in that division and finished 2nd in the points championship. After a few successful seasons, the team decided to move him up into 600cc at the age of 13. He became the youngest driver to win at Airport Speedway. That season came with 4 wins including one at Hamlin Speedway and then an exciting win at the World Championship of Dirt Racing at Selingsgrove Speedway. During the 3 full seasons of racing a 600, Lavar brought home 15 wins in New Jersey, Delaware, and North Carolina. In 2020, Lavar, moved to North Carolina to pursue his dream and was accepted into NASCAR's Driver for Diversity Program with Rev Racing. That year he raced in the legends car at Charlotte Motor Speedway during Summer Shootout. Lavar was able to close the season with 2 podium finishes, 3 top 10’s, and 2 top 5’s. In 2021, the team decided to move Lavar into a full-body stock car racing late models. That year he was able to travel to multiple tracks starting the season off right at Hickory Motor Speedway placing 3rd. He then traveled to Tri-County Speedway, Florence Motor Speedway, and Motor Mile Speedway ending the season with 6 top 3s, 5 top 5s, and a win on Sept 11th at Hickory Motor Speedway. In 2022, Lavar, was competing in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series with Rev Racing. When Lavar is off the track he enjoys connecting with the youth to share his experiences, deliver encouragement, and inspire them to continue to dream big.
